ABOUT US
NICOLE D.S. MILLER, B.A., J.D.
Nicole grew up in Fort Frances, Ontario and is a member of Couchiching First Nation. She received Juris Doctor degree from the University of Manitoba in 2001. She received her call to the bar of Ontario in 2003 and in Manitoba in 2004. She does not currently practice in Manitoba and restricts her practice to Ontario.
She has completed training in Collaborative Family Law and continues to fine tune her learning and training in that area.
In 2019 she completed her Restorative Justice Certificate from Simon Fraser University.
She is a member of the legal panel of the Office of the Children's Lawyer and provides legal services on behalf of children through the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.
She is active in the community and regularly volunteers her time with the Fort Frances Girls and Women's Hockey Association.
She serves the Rainy River District and surrounding First Nations.
LAWRENCE G. PHILLIPS, LL.B.
Sole practicioner in the Northwestern Ontario community of Fort Frances with extensive experience in general practice, including criminal, civil and family litigation, real estate, corporate, commercial, municipal, estates and wills.
LINDSAY DIXON
Lindsay grew up in Fort Frances and was recently called to the Ontario bar in June 2024. She received her Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. Lindsay recently completed her articling placement at the Canadian Environmental Law Association in Toronto. Lindsay is thrilled to be joining our firm and begin serving the Rainy River District.
